The COVID-19 rapid antigen test can detect antigens (proteins) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, within 15 minutes. The rapid antigen test offered by NIPD Genetics has received the CE IVD marking from the European Union.

In addition, the test has been validated in clinical studies (sensitivity of 96.17%, specificity of 99.16%) and can be performed via nasal swab, nasopharyngeal swab or oropharyngeal swab.

The traveler is responsible to be aware and comply with the guidelines of the country of their destination regarding travel advisory related to coronavirus (COVID-19).

After getting a COVID-19 vaccine, will I test positive for COVID-19 on a PCR or Antigen test?

No. None of the authorized and recommended COVID-19 vaccines cause you to test positive on PCR or Antigen test for COVID-19 because they do not contain the live virus that causes COVID-19. This means that a COVID-19 vaccine cannot make you sick with COVID-19.

The COVID-19 tests (RT-PCR or Antigen) detect the virus of SARS-CoV-2 which causes COVID-19. If the examinee is tested positive, either with PCR or Rapid test, it means that SARS-CoV-2 is detected in their sample.

In case of positive result, you should notify your doctor of your results and follow the latest guidelines from the Ministry of Health.
